Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information SwifTrans AB collects through this website, why we collect it, how we protect it and what rights you have.

Who We Are

This website is operated by SwifTrans AB (“SwifTrans”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Sweden that provides transport services and business consultancy. SwifTrans AB is the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide why and how it is used.

Address: Ryttargatan 236 bv, 194 71 Upplands Väsby, Sweden. Email: Contact@swiftrans.se. Phone: 072 312 9667.

Information We Collect

We collect personal data only when you send it to us. When you use a contact, booking, quote or consultation form on this website, we receive the information you type in, which can include:

  • your name, email address and phone number, and your company and position if you give them;
  • details of your request, such as pick-up and drop-off addresses, dates and times, number of passengers, description of goods, moving details, business requirements or the topics you want help with;
  • any other information you choose to include in your message.

Our server also records the time of your submission and your IP address. The IP address is included in the notification email we receive and is used to prevent spam and abuse. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, date, time and the page requested) for security and operation of the service.

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. See our Cookies page.

How We Use Information and Our Legal Basis

We use the information you send us to:

  • answer your enquiry and prepare a quote or proposal (legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, GDPR Article 6(1)(b));
  • arrange, carry out and administer a booking or engagement you have agreed to (legal basis: performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b));
  • keep records we are required to keep by law, such as accounting records (legal basis: legal obligation, Article 6(1)(c));
  • keep our website and systems secure and prevent spam and misuse (legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our business, Article 6(1)(f));
  • handle questions, complaints or legal claims (legal basis: legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling. We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked for them or the law otherwise allows it.

Who We Share Information With

We share personal data only where it is needed and only with:

  • service providers that process data on our behalf, such as our web hosting and email provider, under appropriate data protection terms;
  • drivers, partners or subcontractors, where this is necessary to carry out the service you requested, limited to the information needed for the job;
  • authorities, courts or advisers (for example accountants or legal advisers) where we are required or permitted to do so by law.

We aim to keep personal data within the EU/EEA. If a provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, we make sure the safeguards required by the GDPR are in place.

How Long We Keep Information

Enquiries and messages are stored in our company mailbox. We keep them only as long as needed for the purposes above:

  • enquiries that do not lead to a booking or engagement are deleted within 24 months after our last contact with you;
  • information that forms part of a booking, invoice or other accounting record is kept for as long as the Swedish Accounting Act requires, currently seven years;
  • anti-spam counters (a timestamp linked to a technical identifier derived from your IP address) are short-lived and are removed automatically; server logs are deleted by our hosting provider according to its routine.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection between your browser and this website, access to the company mailbox limited to authorised people, and spam and abuse protection on our forms. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information (such as national identity numbers or payment card details) through the forms.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • request deletion of your data, where we no longer need it or have no legal basis to keep it;
  • request that we restrict how we use your data in certain situations;
  • object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests;
  • receive the data you gave us in a commonly used, machine-readable format (data portability).

To use any of these rights, contact us at Contact@swiftrans.se. We will respond within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first.

If you believe we handle your personal data unlawfully, you also have the right to complain to the Swedish supervisory authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), at www.imy.se, or to the authority in your own EU country.

Children

This website and our services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date of the latest update is shown at the bottom of this page. If we make a significant change we will make it clear on this page.
